TIME FLIES
(This pic was taken after her bath, without her hair brushed. She looks just like her daddy, haha)
Wow, I can't believe my baby is 2 1/2 months old. Thus the title of my post. Not only is she finally growing but she is finally sleeping too, praise God. She still wakes up to eat at least once a night but we get to go to bed at 10:00 pm ( a far cry from the previous 2:00 am). At her 2 mo checkup she weighed 10lbs 1 oz. This is the doc visit I dreaded due to horror stories about shots but it wasn't that bad. Everyone talked about how their baby didn't sleep and cried after shots but with Emma Kathryn either they didn't bother her that bad or we were just so used to her crying it was no change for us. She started "talking" and laughing with us this week and she now also enjoys watching TV.
I have to go back to work next week. I am dreading it already. I have all of my babysitters lined up and they all seem excited to keep her for me but I am not excited about leaving her at all. At least I know it's only for 2 weeks. Surely I can survive for that amount of time.
My garden is growing now. I have squash, green beans, butter beans, okra, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, corn, and turnip greens. It has been a lot of work but I have enjoyed it. I don't know who has enjoyed it more, me or Papa Wallace. We go to his house usually twice a week to work in it but even when we are just visiting he always has to show me where he has found something else growing. Emma Kathryn is enjoying her Granny Wallace time too. I haven't taken her out to the garden yet but probably will soon. She likes to be outside but she isn't big enough yet to sit up in a stroller so she stays inside with Granny.
This has been a post full of scattered thoughts but I have learned once a child enters your life scattered thoughts is all you have time for. Hope everyone is well and has a fun summer planned with your kids and family.
